DIRECTIONS: Located on North Long Lake about 8 miles northeast of Brainerd.
About 5 miles north of Brainerd on Highway 3 is a "LEGIONVILLE" sign. Turn west at this sign, (County Road 119) and continue for about 2 miles. The "LEGIONVILLE"
entrance is marked. North of Brainerd on Highway 371, exit at County Road 49 and go east about 4 miles, turn left on Smith Road for about 2 miles, then turn left on Legionville Road.
TRANSPORTATION: This is the responsibility of the parents or sponsors. We
recommend car pools and chartered buses to help cut costs.
ARRIVAL TIME: Trainees must arrive between 1:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. on Sunday. The FIRST MEAL SERVED ON SUNDAY IS 5:00 P.M. SUPPER.
A tour of the Training Center, banking procedures, and Dining Hall routines are all accomplished before supper. Your arrival before 4:00 P.M. will facilitate a smooth schedule. Money will
be checked in at the camp bank after each cabin is full. TRAINEES WISHING TO BUNK TOGETHER SHOULD ARRIVE TOGETHER!!
Notification of arrival time is not necessary.
DEPARTURE TIME: All trainees MUST check out at the Administration Office before leaving the grounds. Check out time is between 2:30 - 4:00 P.M. on Friday.
Campers will be patiently waiting for your arrival at the "barn". Parents, guardians, sponsors, drivers, etc. are encouraged to come to Legionville on Friday afternoon for our camp
graduation ceremony at 2:00 P.M. Following the ceremony, your child would be free to check out with you to return home. WE ASK THAT ALL PARENTS, SPONSORS, GUARDIANS, ETC. INFORM THE
OFFICE AT CHECK-IN ON SUNDAY WHO WILL BE PICKING THE CHILDREN UP. We will be happy to assist those campers who are using a commercial carrier for their trip home, but be sure that your
son/daughter has necessary ticket(s) in hand. Your courteous observance of departure time will be greatly appreciated by our staff. For any concerns or questions regarding arrival or
departure, please feel free to call Legionville at 218/829-3094 after June 11. Each camper will be given a copy of "The Legionville Bugle", which is our weekly newspaper, when they
check out. This publication highlights the weekly events and includes a cabin picture which will serve as a great souvenir from Legionville.
CANTEEN: A canteen is maintained for the sale of candy, pop, ice cream,
souvenirs, and T-shirts. Stamps, post cards, and envelopes are also sold. MONEY SENT WITH TRAINEES CAN BE DEPOSITED FOR SAFEKEEPING AND WITHDRAWN AS NEEDED.
Money is deposited after each cabin is full. $20-$25 is a recommended amount for campers use for the week. Souvenirs range from $1 pencils to $20 sweatshirts. Any money not used will be given
back to the camper at the end of the week.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST
The following are suggested items to bring to Legionville during the week's stay:
- _____Toiletry articles (towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo, tooth brush, tooth paste, comb, brush, etc.)
- _____Sleeping bag (preferred) or single/cot size sheets and blankets, pillow, and pillowcase
- _____Swim wear, shorts, shirts, pants, sweatshirt or sweater, jeans, jacket, socks, pajamas,
- _____2 pairs of shoes, if possible
- _____Notebook and pencil/pen
- _____Sunscreen lotion
- _____Insect repellent
- _____Flashlight (optional)
- _____Softball glove, marked with name
- _____Rain coat or umbrella
- _____Plenty of enthusiasm, a smile to share, and a willingness to make new friends!
It is recommended that trainees with allergies should bring their own blanket and pillow. Mark items with name to facilitate return of lost articles.

If your child is on any prescription medications, please send the
medication in its original container that is clearly marked from your pharmacy with the medication and directions for use. If you choose to send any over-the-counter
medications with your child (i.e. Tylenol, allergy medications, or ointments), please send the medications in the original containers with the medication label clearly
displayed and mark the container with your child's name.
Please notify Legionville staff upon arrival
to the camp of any health care concerns or changes in your child's medications.

- Cell Phones
- Electronic Games
- Radios, tape players, walkmans, TV
- Baseballs
- Fishing Gear
- Any inappropriate equipment
- Pets - such as dogs, cats, goldfish, chameleons, gerbils, spiders, etc.
- Anything else that would prevent you from having a great
experience at Legionville.
